EXTRA
“Film indexes according to the age of the audience are regulated by the Law on Cinema of the Republic of Lithuania (Official Gazette, 2002, No. 31-1107; 2012, No. 6-192). Films are indexed by the Lithuanian Film Center on the proposal of the Film Indexing Commission. The Film Center does not index films. However, it is directly responsible for the violations in this respect. In case of doubts that the person purchasing tickets is younger than required by the regulated film index, we will ask to show us an ID document at the ticket office and the entrance to prove the age, and will refuse selling a ticket and/or admission to the cinema. Below is the reference to the amendment of the Law on Cinema regarding the age restrictions: http://www3.lrs.lt/pls/inter2/dokpaieska.showdoc_l?p_id=470570 When purchasing tickets to the films marked with age restriction indices, such as 7+, 13+, 16+ and 18+, a proof of identity and age must be provided at the request of a cashier or a controller. The following documents can be provided: a student certificate, a passport, an ID card, and a driving license (a document must contain a photograph and specify the date of birth of a person).
